Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet

Galvanized corrugated sheet

Single-sided and double-sided galvanized steel plates.

Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet. This is a thin steel sheet that has been immersed in a molten zinc bath, resulting in a thin layer of zinc adhering to its surface. It is mainly produced using the continuous galvanizing process, which involves continuously immersing rolled steel sheets in a bath containing molten zinc to create galvanized steel sheets.

Galvanized steel sheet. The production of this type of galvanized steel sheet by electroplating method has good processing properties. However, the coating is relatively thin and its corrosion resistance is not as good as that of the hot-dip galvanized sheet.

Single-sided galvanized steel plates refer to products that are galvanized on only one side. They have better adaptability in aspects such as welding, coating, rust prevention treatment, and processing compared to double-sided galvanized plates. To overcome the disadvantage of the uncoated side of single-sided plates, there is another type of galvanized plate with a thin layer of zinc applied on the other side, namely double-sided differential galvanized plate.

Galvanized sheet

(1) Surface condition: Due to the different treatment methods during the coating and plating process, the surface conditions of galvanized sheets vary, such as ordinary zinc flakes, fine zinc flakes, smooth zinc flakes, zinc-free surfaces, and phosphated surfaces, etc. The German standard also stipulates surface grades. Galvanized sheets 
(2) Should have a good appearance and must not have any defects that are harmful to the product's use, such as no coating, holes, cracks, slag, excessive coating thickness, scratches, chromic acid dirt, white rust, etc.

The bending test is a key item for evaluating the process performance of thin plates. However, the requirements of various standards for different galvanized plates vary. The American standard, except for the structural grade, does not require bending and tensile tests for the rest. While in Japan, except for the structural grade, building corrugated plates and general corrugated plates, the rest all require bending tests.
The general requirement is that after bending the galvanized plate by 180 degrees, the outer surface should not have zinc layer detachment, and the base plate should not have cracks or fractures.
